I like the buckle and the d-loop for quick connects. Beats connecting to a plain strap. Nicely done.

I hate to give this Tree Strap only a "Good" rating, but i can't give it a Great or Awesome rating either. However, i will say that i've been trying to find another one like the one i own for some time. The one i have doesn't have the Gorilla name on it and i didn't remember where i got it (i have several types). Thus, i didn't know where to find a replacement. Google search got me back to this strap. Pros: 1) Love the male/female strap quick connect/disconnect 2) Love the easy pull strap to quickly loosen and release tension for ascending/descending 3) Love the "D" ring for quickly attaching safety harness teather to tree strap Cons: 1) When using the small pull strap to loosen tension on the strap the webbing/belt will turn over in buckle unless one is VERY careful to assure it doesn't. Seems as though the buckle opening is a little too wide to prevent this issue. Kind of defeats the purpose of all the quick features if one has to assure the belt doesn't turn over (or) try and re-thread webbing/belt into the quick tension release buckle when it does turn. Certainly not a good idea 15-30 feet in the air! 2) The Webbing/Belt is thin and wears/tares pretty quickly. Personally think it should be double the thickness. Possibly the reason the belt turns over in the buckle. 3) Just a personal preference...would like to see this in camo Having said all that i like this tree strap better than any other i've used based on its features already mentioned. I think just a few simple design changes could make it absoultly the best. Hope this helps anyone trying to assess this tree strap. I'm buying another one!!!
