I was shocked to see that this product didnt have a rating of 5 stars! This is clearly the best peg ever made. They screw in with one hand with ease. They WILL go into oaks, hard maple and tamarack! The design keeps your foot from slipping off. Their heavy duty and will NOT bend or give you any uneasy feeling using them. I challenge anyone to make a better step. Jim WI

I bought these to help me to get up some trees to limb them these work well on soft woods, not so good on hard woods, I even tried pre-drilling oak trees w/ 1/4" & 5/16" spade bits, no fun. Only one step went in with out any problem. I came to this site to see if you offered any suggestions on how to best attach the tree steps and you have nothing. I bought two packs that I could not recommend as easy to use in hard woods. James

Easy, one hand installation in the hardest trees. Cannot say enough about how easy they make hanging my stands. Nothing else compares! I usually have about 15 stands on my property and I no longer dread the process. 5stars without a doubt!
